A Taste of Climate Change
A Taste of Climate Change is a climate data visualization project translating environmental issues into visual narratives through Georgian cuisine. Using four traditional dishes as metaphors, the project explores glacial melting through Elarji, deforestation through Churchkhela, desertification through Honey Cake, and rising temperatures through Adjaruli Khachapuri.
Developed during the Climate Datathon, the project combines graphic storytelling, climate research, and cultural symbolism to make complex environmental data more accessible and emotionally engaging. The project received a winning award.
The Climate Datathon was organized in collaboration with GIZ, ForSet, AskGov, Climate Basics, and REC Caucasus.
